Magnetic compass service and repair
Factory authorized service for: RITCHIE, DANFORTH, AQUAMETER,
DIRIGO, JOHN E HAND, BAKER-LYMAN, C.PLATH(GER), SESTREL(UK),
PLASTIMO(FR), SUUNTO(FIN), NEXUS(SW). Parts and service available for all other
makes.
Service and repair for all types of mechanical and optical navigation equipment.
Sextants, alidades, peloruses, stadimeters, mechanical logs.
Antique restoration for all types of instruments.
Compass adjusting(Compensation).
Process completed underway using pelorus and shore references. Requires approxi-
mately two hours per vessel. Instruments must be in good working order prior to adjust.
Instrument sales.
Consulting on navigation outfit and individualized navigation instruction.
RATES
SHOP WORK
Labor: $70.00 per hour. Materials per manufacturers price list.
COMPASS ADJUSTING
Wood and fiberglass vessels up to and including 45 feet 11 inches registered length:
First compass $125.00, second compass half price.
Wood and fiberglass vessels 46 feet up to 180 feet:
First compass $2.75 per foot, second compass $1.38 per foot.
Steel vessels up to 180 feet: First compass $2.75 per foot ($125.00 minimum),
second compass $1.38 per foot ($62.50 minimum).
All vessels in excess of 180 feet: First compass $500.00, second compass $250.00.
Job includes adjustment and preparation of deviation table. Quadrantal spheres,
magnets, heeling magnets, flinders bars and appropriate mountings invoiced
separately.
Waiting time (Delay of job due to mechanical breakdown, wait for completion of other sea
trial items, incomplete preparation for adjust[Housekeeping], delay in debarka-
ion): $70.00 per hour.
Travel: No charge Port of Everett to Seattle. Other areas-$1.30 per mile, round-trip
from Everett, WA. Travel may be discounted for groups of three or more
vessels.
Overtime: Vessel sailing after 1700 or 0500 to 0800-time and a half; Sailing 0100 to
0500 or on Sunday or Holidays-double time.
TERMS
